The first time I played through The Guy’s Palace, there were all these fucking invisible kill traps everywhere. I thought it was some kind of game design choice — like, “you’re close to the finale, now it’s gonna screw you a hundred times harder, no way you’ll memorize the trap patterns now.” BUT IT TURNS OUT, FUCKING HELL, IT WAS BECAUSE I HAD THE EFFECTS TURNED OFF. You usually disable them during the Dracula fight for convenience.
hey could you fix iwbtg cuz it doesn't have sound, there's an error that it can't create file in temporary directory and the remastered version is a trojan
i tried to run it on my computer and it said something (probably) about a trojan (might be one of the pictures or codes etc. i'm not a coder) probably the fault of my stupid antivirus
It was NOT inspired by Syobon Action. Syobon Action came to my attention well into IWBTG's development. It was inspired by Owata, which is a lot more similar in tone.
Beyond the scope of this old game. If you wanna play with something like that, I Wanna Maker is free on steam and really feature rich. I didn't make it, but that means it's actually good.
The game is and will for the forseeable future remain unupdated Unfortunately the game does not function correctly in modern versions of MMF2 so even minor updates would require a huge overhaul. This might happen one day, but no time soon.
That said, this is an old problem that some people have experienced. You can try checking this thread. http://kayin.moe/iwbtg/forums/index.php?topic=366.0 also making sure you try setting things like windows compatibility mode or whatever.
